Dear Col
What a fabulous job you've done, I have been wondering how I was going to put together all the information you've sent over the last couple of years, and you've done it all for us.... Thank you so much, I am sending it onto my brother Edmund, and sister Geraldine, both live in Melbourne. Regards Angela

Hi,
I ran across your site while doing a google search on where the surname, Holland, is most prevelent in Ireland. My maiden name is Holland and I have been trying to find out more about my Irish roots. Do you know of a good geneology source in Ireland? I have only traced as far back as my twice great grandfather, William J. Holland who according to a 1910 US Census says he was born approx. 1865 in Ireland. His son, Joseph T. Holland (my great-grandfather) was born about 1892 in the state of Michigan. My dad says he thought that our Holland's came from County Clare but maybe he is mistaken and they actually came from County Cork. I am in the process now of obtaining birth records on Joseph and marriage records on William to see if I can get anymore clues to go on. But if you know of some additional resources that can help me further, I would be most appreciative. Kind Regards.

Hi,
You've made a fantastic job of your website and put so much information into it I'm really impressed and can't wait to read more. I'm a retired secretary and I just can't seem to get what's in my stack of notes and spreadsheet into any sort of order and I've been trying for years. You have now inspired me to try to get it done before my hands seize up altogether. Thank you.

It's really great Colin. I can't believe how much work you have done. The photos and information on the streets where they lived is really great I love it. You've done a good job. All the best.

You have done a wonderful job. My Holland ancestors came from Monaghan. Your explanation for the origin of the Holland name works out perfectly for us. It could possibly fill in a piece of history. Could you tell me how you came up with that explanation?
